Opogo Pass Guide

Right to work

Why do I need to supply a Right to Work?

All employers in the US have a responsibility to prevent illegal working. Here at Opogo, we do this by conducting simple right to work checks before we place someone into a school. This ensures an individual is not disqualified from carrying out the work in question by reason of their immigration status.

What documents can I submit?

US citizens
Are required to provide ONE of the following document types:
1) Current up-to-date US Passport with passport number showing
2) Full Birth Certificate document

Non-US citizens
Are required to provide ONE of the following document types:
1) Current up-to-date Work visa demonstrating work authorization in the US
2) Permanent Resident Card (Greencard)

Why were my documents rejected?

• Submitted image must be taken from the original document
• Is the submitted image blurry? If the document is blurry it will be rejected as we will not be able to read the supplied document/s
• Is the submitted image cropped? If the document is cropped i.e. the supplied image has the corners cut off OR is missing key information (such as the passport number) your submission will be rejected
• Is there a glare on the submitted photo? If we can not read the document your submission will be rejected
• Passports that have passed the expired date can not be accepted
